Law Provision for LSSTF

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund was established on September 3, 2007, by a Law of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Making it not just Nigeria’s first public-private partnership dedicated to security funding, but one of Africa’s first and one of the world’s First.

Born out of the recommendations of a high-powered committee chaired by former Inspector General of Police Alhaji Musiliu Smith, the law created a strictly donor-funded framework empowering the LSSTF to raise resources from government, corporations, and individuals to equip, mobilise, and train security agencies across Lagos.
