Who we are

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) is a pioneering public-private partnership, Born out of the need to address critical security challenges in Africa’s largest megacity. The Fund was created to bridge the logistical and resource gaps faced by security agencies through sustainable, voluntary donations rather than government budget allocations.
The fund exists to mobilize resources from government, corporate organizations, and public-spirited individuals to equip and support security agencies, while promoting preventive strategies that enhance public safety and build lasting community resilience.

The fund Operates as a transparent, donor-driven initiative, for focusing on two complementary pillars:

Enforcement Support: Providing essential infrastructure, patrol vehicles, drones, communication equipment, bulletproof gear, and other critical tools to strengthen the operational capacity of the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies.

Prevention & Community Engagement:  Implementing forward-looking programs such as the LSSTF Campaign Against Crime, Cultism and Other Vices (LSSTF–CACCOV), which delivers school outreach, youth mentorship, community awareness campaigns, value reorientation, and multi-stakeholder collaboration to address the root causes of crime.

Since inception, LSSTF has become a national model for sub-national security innovation. Through consistent donor support, the Fund has: Significantly improved police visibility and response capabilities Contributed to measurable reductions in crime rates. Strengthened public confidence and fostered a safer, more vibrant, and investor-friendly Lagos

In December 2025, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu performed the groundbreaking for the Fund’s ultra-modern permanent headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja — a project fully funded by a generous private donation and scheduled for completion in October 2026. Today, LSSTF continues to evolve by embracing technology-driven solutions, deepening partnerships, and expanding preventive efforts — all made possible by the unwavering commitment of our donors and partners.
