Mr. Akin Ogunranti is a seasoned banker and financial services executive with over three decades of experience in banking operations, corporate and retail banking, project finance, public sector banking, and digital transformation.

He serves as Executive Director at Zenith Bank Plc, where he oversees key portfolios including Corporate Banking, Oil & Gas, Public Sector, and the Bank’s Technology Group, driving digital innovation and strategic growth across multiple regions.

A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he obtained a B.Sc. (Hons) in International Relations, Mr. Ogunranti also holds an MBA in Marketing and an M.Sc. (Hons) in Banking and Finance from the University of Ibadan. He has attended several prestigious executive programmes, including the Executive Development Program at Wharton Business School and the Leading Change and Organizational Renewal Program at Harvard Business School, USA.

Mr. Ogunranti previously served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank Ghana Limited, where he delivered outstanding performance in expanding the bank’s footprint and operations.

His deep expertise in finance, strategic leadership, and technology-driven solutions brings a valuable private sector perspective to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, particularly in supporting sustainable funding models, operational efficiency, and innovative approaches to enhancing security infrastructure across Lagos State.
