LSSTF launches a 10-month training program for over 1,000 security operatives across multiple agencies.

In a decisive move to strengthen security coordination and professionalism, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund LSSTF has commenced a statewide training programme targeting 1,000 operatives across multiple agencies, as part of a 10-month capacity-building initiative. This initiative marks one of the most comprehensive multi-agency security trainings ever completed in Nigeria’s history, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

Declaring open the programme, which is the first of the 10-month series, the Executive Secretary/CEO, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, said the initiative reflects a strategic shift towards intelligence-driven, ethical, and collaborative security operations in Africa’s largest city.

“Modern security challenges are becoming more sophisticated, dynamic and interconnected,” Ogunsan said. “Addressing them requires not only equipment, but well-trained personnel with the right professional skills, ethical orientation and the ability to work seamlessly across agencies.”

He disclosed that the programme, themed “Enhancing Professional Capacity, Ethical Standards and Inter-Agency Collaboration for Effective Security Operations,” will be implemented in phases, beginning with this month of March and replicated over the rest of the Year 2026.

Ogunsan emphasised that the training is anchored on three pillars, including professional capacity, ethical standards, and inter-agency collaboration, describing them as critical to effective security delivery. “Public trust is fundamental.
